Stone near entrance to Eysey Manor Farm
This dressed stone is to be found near the entrance to Eysey Manor Farm (see SU1194 : Eysey Manor), on or very near the site of Eysey Manor Bridge. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) Now a causeway, the bridge crossed the now disused Thames & Severn Canal. LinkExternal link This stone with its curved top is possibly canal-related, but may even have been a hay lot marker (see SU0994 : Hay lot marker and the North Meadow National Nature Reserve, Cricklade). Two canal milestones can also be seen in front the entrance to Eysey Manor Farm, see SU1194 : Thames & Severn Canal milestone, Eysey Manor Farm and SU1194 : Thames & Severn Canal milestone, Eysey Manor Farm.
