Deverel Barrow
Unusually for a barrow this one has been surrounded by a stone wall built of flint. It appears to be right on the intersection of the grid lines and could possibly be attributed to 4 squares. There are numerous large stones within the wall. The barrow was opened in c. 1826 by William Augustus Miles who wrote a short book about his excavations (available on Google e-books). He removed 5 urns from the barrow which he deposited with the Bristol Literary Society. See
