Alston’s steep cobbled main street has many stone buildings dating from the 17th Century. The Angel Inn is dated 1611; the white building to left of the pub is dated 1687; the building to the right of the pub is NY7146 : Alston, Church Gaytes Cottage, which is dated 1681.
