NT9550 : Former railway bridge, Mount Pleasant

taken 11 years ago, near to Loanend, Northumberland, England

Former railway bridge, Mount Pleasant
Former railway bridge, Mount Pleasant
The railway cutting originally crossed by the bridge has been filled in at some point after the line's closure, however the bridge has been left in situ. The arable fields on either side of the former cutting have been merged together meaning that the bridge is now entirely redundant, in fact the gap under the arch appears to less than a few feet.
