The M4 Motorway River Usk crossing (2)
The M4 Motorway River Usk bridges.
This section of the M4 was opened in 1967.
Junction 25a was constructed in 1989 with each slip road bridging the river separately. With the eastbound and westbound carriageways being separate bridges, this gives a total of four bridges.
The westbound slip road rises up and over the motorway to the Junction 25a roundabout which offset to the north of the motorway.
The Brynglas Tunnels are at the western end of the river crossing.
