Great Rough Brow
There's a lot of new building work here, on what is shown on the map as South Hill Farm but appears from signs elsewhere now to be called Great Rough Brow. The land was sold in August 2009 and a vastly enlarged complex of buildings has been built, with a magnificent view over South Warwickshire countryside, and is nearing completion. I wonder who is going to live here? I hope they like thick clay soil, as seen on the adjacent footpath here, used by Shakespeare's Way and The Macmillan Way.
Shakespeare's Way
Shakespeare's Way is a 146 mile long distance footpath from Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon to the Globe theatre in London. It follows as nearly as possible a route that Shakespeare may have taken between the two, but using footpaths, quiet lanes and towpaths, rather than his tracks, which are today's main roads.
