Two Blackpool Trams at Fleetwood Ferry
Two Blackpool Trams at Fleetwood Ferry
Taken in September 1970, this photo shows 611 and 661 in Queen's Terrace having turned from Bold Street in Fleetwood. 611 is an 1935 English Electric 48-seater railcoach whilst 661 is a Maley & Taunton railcar with Roberts 56-seater bodywork dating from 1953. The latter tramcar will shortly leave for Starr Gate turning right into Pharos Street from Queens Terrace. Blackpool Transport still runs this tramcar service along the resort seafront then through Fleetwood Town Centre all the year round.
