Caledonian Lockheed Tristar, Gatwick Airport
Caledonian Lockheed Tristar, Gatwick Airport
Caledonian were a sop for British Airways buying out the popular British Caledonian Airways. By adopting the name of 'Caledonian' for British Airways package tour flights, the popular name was kept for some time. Formerly, this part of British Airways was called British Airtours. The Tristars originally belonged to British Airways and were allotted to Caledonian for mid and long range flights.
