SK3455 : End of the (overhead) line

taken 7 years ago, near to Holloway, Derbyshire, Great Britain

End of the (overhead) line
End of the (overhead) line
Immediately north of the furthest point to which tramcars ascend from the main part of Crich Tramway Village, the track is crossed by a footpath. The overhead crosses the footpath to finish at a traction pole (right); on the left, a sign reads "SERVICE CARS STOP", though in fact non service cars can continue only another ten yards or so before falling off the end of the track (see SK3455 : End of the (tram) line). In spite of this, the sign attached to the traction pole reads "TRAMWAY - LOOK BOTH WAYS".
