taken 11 years ago, near to Snarestone, Leicestershire, England

Former Snarestone Pumping Station
Former Snarestone Pumping Station
Now a house, this magnificent building was a steam powered water pumping station with two single cylinder beam engines by Bever, Dorling of Dewsbury. Unfortunately most of the surviving parts were removed a few years ago and the growth of trees has largely obscured the view.
