SD8634 : Queen Street Mill - boiler house

taken 8 years ago, near to Harle Syke, Lancashire, Great Britain

Queen Street Mill - boiler house
Queen Street Mill - boiler house
One of the two Lancashire boilers with part of the other on the left. The one on the left is the boiler in use and is hand fired. The mechanically stoked boiler is out of use. The fuel is clearly visible. The widget on the wall right centre is a steam injector for feeding the boiler but there is also a steam pump and I think the main engine has/had an engine driven pump.
