Harwich Town 1st railway station (site)
Opened in 1854 by the Eastern Union Railway as the original terminus of its line from Manningtree, this station is believed to have been located roughly where this building now is, on the way to the pier, and closed in 1866 when it was replaced by the current station (behind the photographer). View north west towards the pier.
