The arch of High Thornhope lime kiln
See NY6750 : High Thornhope lime kiln. This is one of three old lime kilns in the area with a "double" arch and no (extant) small draw hole. See also NY6552 : The arch of the lime kiln near Hanging Shaw and NY6551 : The arch of the lime kiln below Limestone Hill - these two kilns are in the next valley to the west. I am grateful to the farmer at Low Thornhope for permission to access the area.
