Hood's Well at Port Glasgow Station
Hood's Well at Port Glasgow Station
At the east end of the down platform. Dated 1843, in memory of the original stationmaster. This remained unseen for many decades until uncovered by railway workers who were clearing bushes and trees in the late 1990s. No sign of any water!
