Culvert, Kilton Beck
Culvert, Kilton Beck
The culvert was constructed in 1913 when the Kilton Viaduct was backfilled with mine waste because it had become unstable due to subsidence. The branch line to Boulby Potash Mine still runs at the top of the man made embankment above the culvert.
