NU1437 : Engulfed gate

taken 6 years ago, near to Ross, Northumberland, Great Britain

Engulfed gate
Engulfed gate
Fences and sand dunes rarely mix well. The sand has shifted, as it does, and partially covered the gate. The next stage is for the vegetation to stabilise the sand, leaving a hidden barbed trip wire. Compare with before: NU1437 : Approaching Ross Back Sands, after: NU1437 : The disappearing gate and the end: NU1437 : No need for a gate now!.

To continue, the gate was lifted NU1437 : The Gate rises and then the sand fell NU1437 : Gate, Ross Back Sands.
