The first church on this site was opened in 1930, as a Presbyterian Church, among the streets of the interwar development within easy reach of Orpington Station. The original building (on the right in this photo) is now the church hall, with the present building (in the background on the left) opening in 1955.

In the early 20th century, before it was built on, this area was a golf course.
