Tyntesfield - stable yard
Tyntesfield - stable yard
The stable yard was extended and modernised in 1888 by architect Henry Woodyer who was responsible for the horse trough with stone sundial, the gate posts and the well equipped block seen on the right. A petrol pump was added in 1957. The stables were latterly used for storing artefacts from the house and the National Trust has not yet unpacked all this material from the stables.
