With the Cornhill-Leadenhall Street continuation to the rear, Gracechurch Street (the A1213) has now become Bishopsgate (still the A1213). The tall "under construction" building is "The Pinnacle", opposite Threadneedle Street. Previously it was called Bishopsgate Tower but since building commenced in 2008 it seems to have had a name change associated with new owners. The Economic Development Corporation of Saudi Arabia and its development management arm, Arab Investments, is now part-funding the construction in return for a 90% stake in the structure. However, work stalled at one point because of a lack of additional funding and letting commitments. The tower was originally proposed to be 307 metres (1,007 ft) tall but was scaled down to 288 metres (945 ft) following concerns about its height. If completed as planned, it will contain 88,000 square metres (947,200 sq ft) of office space and be the second-tallest building in the United Kingdom and European Union. Liverpool Street (Mainline) Station lies 3-4 minutes away beyond it on the opposite side of the road.
