Concrete fence posts near Newtownards
Back in the 50’s and 60’s wire fences with concrete posts were replacing traditional hawthorn hedges after road widening (however minor). Then along came the wooden ranch pole and now (fortunately) hedges are back in favour. This example is on the Portaferry Road north of Finlay’s Road. See also J5072 : Gate and hedge, Newtownards.
