Middlesex v Derbyshire at Lord's
Middlesex v Derbyshire at Lord's
In the first hour of the second day Derbyshire's last-wicket pair took their partnership to 50 as the visitors posted a competitive 231 in their first innings. Here Middlesex's Tim Murtagh bowls to the Derbyshire No 11, Mark Turner, who ended 22 not out. The non-striker, Tim Groenewald, was eventually caught at the wicket off Murtagh for 25. Although Derbyshire gained a small first-innings lead, they were skittled for 60 in their second innings and lost by nine wickets. Members of MCC and the two counties watch from the Pavilion. The ground's famous slope shows clearly.
