Discussion on TF5663
Yesterday I had to go to Skegness - I don't ever want to. I went early and diverted to the railway station that is in the process of being revamped, to take some photos. I had all the gear and brimming with confidence held the camera above the security fence and fired away shot after shot (It''s a wide expanse). Eventually a worker in hard hat strode over and asked, "Why are you taking photographs?" (Of the, can I help you kind) I don't know why, but I found myself uttering the words, "Because it's there." Doh!
We got into a long conversation about the work involved, the fact that it would quickly become a skateboard park, what was there before they started on the revamp, how I'd taken numerous photos and put them on Geograph, etc. We parted on good terms with me reminding him to check out Geograph, blah, blah, blah and I walked on taking more shots until it started get a little dark. I walked smugly off to the car with all the images impressed on my mind and sat back in the seat for a quick preview...of nothing! I'd forgotten to insert the memory card.
So if you're reading this, my friend, you had a wasted conversation with an idiot who doesn't even listen to his own advice.
