Brain-Shaped Tree
I like this tree because the canopy is brain shaped - either that or the coffee's getting to me. This is a superb specimen tree that has a good shape - due to the fact that it has been on its own all its life - rather than growing all spindly or deformed after a life of competing for light in some packed out dark wood. The tree is covered in lichen which is an indication of the excellent air quality here - since we get most of it straight off the Atlantic, it's pretty good stuff. No conspiracy.
