A steam preservation railway, originally build as a narrow gauge mineral line in 1875 to export Iron ore from the Esk valley via the port of Ravenglass. Locally known as La'al Ratty. The Green is a railway station on the 15" gauge Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway in Cumbria. Originally known as King of Prussia after the nearby Public House and then its current name, it changed to The Green in the 1960s to get rid of the confusion with this station and the then-name of the terminus, Eskdale (Dalegarth). The current name saw reuse in 2007 after the renaming and reopening of the terminus as Dalegarth for Boot.
The station is located about 5 miles from Ravenglass and just over 2 miles from Dalegarth.
This station, along with Muncaster Mill, Murthwaite Halt and Beckfoot, is not situated near or within a passing loop. Therefore, only one train may pass through this station at any one time.
