Durdle Door and walkers on the SWC Path
Durdle Door and walkers on the SWC Path
The path drops down from its high point at Hambury Tout towards St Oswald's Bay.It all looks peaceful. BUT later that night the path collapsed in what has been described by a coastguard spokesman as "It is huge - a massive fall has taken out part of the cliff. It is rather extraordinary." It is fortunate that none of the walkers, including this Geographer, was at this point when the collapse happened.
The collapsed section is , I believe, just in front of the first of this group of walkers.
