Kentwell Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk
Kentwell Hall, near Long Melford, Suffolk, is a Tudor Mansion. Kentwell is not a ‘stately home’as generally understood - certainly its occupants are not stately. It is very much a lived-in and loved family home, something it has been for over 500 years. It is of a very habitable size and the public see most of the House including several rooms used by the family. Evidence of occupation is usually apparent. Themed Tudor weekends take place with archery, spinning and actors speaking in Tudor language.
