This old bridge spans the River Eske nearly a mile and a half downstream from where it flows out of Lough Eske. The river is well known for its fishing (spring salmon, sea trout and char) and has the Eske Angling Centre nearby. Fishermen, who are likely to know best, call it ‘Miss Jenny’s Bridge’, which name is on their maps that also show where this lady once had a place 300 metres downstream from her bridge. But here Geograph visitors to this square have called it ‘Kitty’s Bridge’ for reasons unknown! LinkExternal link
