taken 13 years ago, near to Aberdeen, Scotland

The Cottage (formerly Christ's College)
After the 1843 Disruption, the Free Church rapidly established its own theological training colleges. This extravagant (excessive?) gothic/Tudor building was erected in 1850 at the cost of £2025 by the Aberdeen Free Presbytery to serve the whole of northern Scotland and the Isles. The huge oriel window once commanded a fine view down Union Street but later buildings have encroached upon it. It is now a bar. B-listed: Link
