There are several community lifeboats in the RoI which are independent of the RNLI. Bonmahon (“Bunmahon” on the OS map) Inshore Rescue operates an inshore rescue boat in Co Waterford. This is the lifeboathouse. The community lifeboats are approved by the ICG and are called out in the same way as RNLI boats.
