Roe Deer hind and fawn near Bolton Barns Farm
The hind is conveniently turning her white rump to the camera to make identification simple. The fawn is not clearly visible but is actually suckling in this view. I was only about 25-30 metres away but she stood there quite calmly. It seems quite remarkable to get a view like this on relatively open moorland.
