NT3473 : Melilot

taken 6 years ago, near to Musselburgh, East Lothian, Great Britain

I didn't recognise it, and I am indebted to M J Richardson for help with identifying it. Possibly Golden Melilot, also known as Tall Melilot (Melilotus altissimus), which is an introduced plant of waste ground, and rare according to the 'Flora of Edinburgh and the Lothians'. Or it might be Ribbed Melilot (M officinalis). I'll have to go back suitably armed with books some other year.
