Pocket Park
Pocket Park
Pocket Park is on the corner of North Albert Street and Victoria Street.

The site was originally a hardware shop, then a TSB bank and a temporary police station before being demolished. Permission was given in 1998 for the land to be used as public open space. In 2008 the Fielden Fleetwood Charity Trust purchased the land with support from Wyre Council.

Brick planters are named after Fleetwood primary schools and pupils plant flowers in them each year.

On the wall are ten ceramic panels SD3348 : Pocket Park Murals, designed and produced by all the schools in Fleetwood working with local artist Norma Tate.

The sign on the lamppost reads "Please don't encourage pigeons and gulls into the park by feeding them. This can sometimes spoil the original idea of the garden which was to provide a peaceful place to sit for a while.
