NT2773 : Long Row and Dry Dam, Holyrood Park

taken 6 years ago, near to Edinburgh, Great Britain

Long Row and Dry Dam, Holyrood Park
Long Row and Dry Dam, Holyrood Park
As far as can be determined from small-scale maps, Long Row is the ridge on the left, Dry Dam is the slope on the right. The ruins of St Anthony's Chapel can be clearly seen above centre, with north Edinburgh and Leith in the distance. The Easter Road stadium of Hibernian Football Club is prominent. Gorse (Ulex europaeus) in flower everywhere. Lots of people out for a stroll up Arthur's Seat on a Sunday morning.
