Two telephone boxes, Portadown
Two telephone boxes at the Church Street end of Mandeville Street. The origin of the street’s name can be found in J0053 : Georgian Houses in Church Street, Portadown.. The Duke of Manchester was the local landowner who lived at Tandragee Castle J0346 : Tandragee Castle.
Telephone boxes, Northern Ireland

A series of photographs showing some of the public telephone boxes in Northern Ireland. With the widespread ownership of mobiles the use of the public phone had declined. I have a notion that they will become like railways – still some left but most closed.

Note added 16 February 2019 - some BT boxes will be replaced by InLink kiosks.
