NT2773 : On Long Row

taken 9 years ago, near to Edinburgh, Great Britain

On Long Row
On Long Row
This forms part of the same early lava flow as Haggis Knowe at the left hand side. The slopes to the right are formed from later flows not necessarily from the same vent. The slope down from Long Row to the right is the result of later folding causing dipping (inclination) of the strata. The Geograph party pauses to take in the view.
