The Great Lines Heritage Park (a large open space between Chatham and Gillingham) is hosting the Armed Forces Day with a free family fun day.
A parade and service for the services started the day and then various events and actitities entertained people.

Great Lines Heritage Park, Chatham

The Great Lines is over 70 hectares of open space at the heart of Medway. Between Gillingham and Chatham.
The huge expanse of the Great Lines was in its own right a layer of defence to protect Chatham Dockyard from attack.
At its centre is the Chatham Naval War Memorial.
