Killingworth Lake
Killingworth Lake
Killingworth Lake and its surrounding woodland area was created in the 1960s during reclamation of derelict colliery land in this area. It has since become a site that is used for a range of recreational activities such as angling, as well as supporting a diverse range of wildlife.

The 15-acre lake, which the main road into Killingworth, is designated as a Site of Local Conservation Interest (SLCI).
