taken 11 years ago, near to St Cyrus, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
To acknowledge the work of a path maker
This is to the side of the path leading down to the beach. The inscription is:
“This tablet records the first making of this cliff path in 1882 and its reinforcing in 1892 and 1897 by
Mr George Ross”.
His great grandson writes that Mr Ross "was a naturalist, painter, musician and teacher – and a pretty good path maker".
