Blaydon railway station, Tyne & Wear
Blaydon railway station, Tyne & Wear
Opened in 1835 by the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway. View west from a level crossing. The North Tyne line from Newcastle via Scotswood used to join from the right just behind the 1929-built signalbox until the early 1980s - compare with NZ1863 : Blaydon Station taken from a similar position in 1965.
