The Bedford Street side of the building has seen a number of different businesses and tenants over the years. This coffee shop is a fairly recent addition.
The proposed Scottish Mutual hotel site, Belfast

An imposing sandstone, turreted structure at the corner of Donegall Square South and Bedford Street, the Scottish Temperance (later Scottish Mutual) Buildings were built in 1904 to a design by Henry Seaver and remain “as built”. It was reported (July 2013) that the intention is to convert the building into a hotel incorporating ground-floor bars and restaurants.
