Baulk of land between two pools
This thin finger of land was what was left when clay extraction came to an end. To the right, the Radar Pool. I believe the pool on the left is known as the Flamingo Pool. In any case, both fall within the boundaries of the RSPB's Cliffe Pools reserve.
The distant high ground and cranes (near the right margin) are on the far side of the Thames estuary, in Essex.
