The County Hotel, Selkirk
Formerly known as 'The Grapes Inn', a good example of a 19th century coaching inn. Visited by many famous people including the Duke of Wellington, the Ettrick Shepherd poet James Hogg, and John Wesley.

Above the door is the life-size statue of Red Dog Souter, a famous racing greyhound owned by a former proprietor of the hotel, see NT4728 : Red Dog Souter.
