Converted former High Brewery dated 1871.

High Brewery is located on the quayside on the site of Pow and Fawcus's foundry, and was operated by William Henry Allison and Company. In 1890 it was one of five breweries which formed Newcastle Breweries Ltd. High Brewery closed in 1925 and the brewhouse and chimney were subsequently demolished. The only surviving building is the warehouse built in 1871 and is now known as Brewery Bond. It was converted into flats in 2000 with the addition of a contemporary contrasting glass and steel frame extension. The original ten bay by three bay building is constructed of brick with stone quoins in the lower part of the east wall. Its interior retains cast iron columns, large timber beams and timber joist floors.
