Repaired path, Hearne Head on Great Shunner Fell
Stone flags have been laid on a slightly re-aligned section of the Pennine Way. This was probably done in July during the hot, dry weather. The original flags were sinking into the mire SD8496 : Wet going on the Great Shunner Fell section of the Pennine Way and were located in the wet strip on the right.
