St Mary's Church, The Meller Memorial Window
This window was made in 1903 in memory of Rev Thomas Meller and his wife Emma. Thomas was an evangelical and skilled linguist who worked with the British and Foreign Bible Society, supervising the translation of the Bible into 20 languages.
Across the top, is the quotation "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations" from Mark 13:10. The panels depict Moses, King David and St Paul, beneath which are people from places where BFBS had worked, including Chinese, Maori, Cree Indian, Red Indian and Fijian. At the base, another biblical quotation, "all nations shall come and worship before him" (Psalms 86:9)

St Mary's Parish Church, Woodbridge
The present church, dedicated to St Mary the Virgin, dates from the beginning of the fifteenth century but The Domesday Book records in that in "Wodebryge" there was "A church with 19 acres valued at 2 shillings". The indications are that this was a Saxon church, built probably at the close of the tenth century, so that there has been a church on this site for nearly a thousand years.
