Police Box
Tucked in at the side of the Town Hall is this preserved Police Box, which is still operational. There were originally 120 of these boxes in the city introduced after 1928 and used until the 1960s. They provided a direct telephone link to the Police Station, for both police and public. They could also be used as a temporary lock-up
