Opened in 1997 by the Welsh Highland Railway as the terminus of the narrow gauge line from Porthmadog. View south east towards Bontnewydd and Porthmadog.
The station is built on the course of the old standard gauge railway line that ran from Caernarfon to Afon Wen.
