Guinevere, at home
Guinevere, at home
As part of the diamond jubilee celebrations of 2012, the Bishop asked Frome artist Ian Marlow to create a special swan that, along with sixty other versions, were to be auctioned off for charity. 'Guinevere' was so liked that the people of Wells gathered to buy it for themselves. Now the sculpture, made with stainless steel and on a float, resides in the palace moat, welcoming visitors to her home.
