Now passed into the “long-term vacant” category, this row of shops is on the Newtownards Road between Welland Street (left) and Connswater Street. Previously seen in J3674 : Vacant and derelict shops, east Belfast (1) (November 2011) and J3674 : Disguising mural, Belfast (September 2012). The road can be very busy with motor traffic but the “pedestrian footfall” past them is quite low.
Nos 374-378 Newtownards Road, Belfast

Buildings on the Newtownards Road, opposite the Albertbridge Road, renovated and subsequently damaged by fire. Currently (February 2015) offered for sale. The photographs submitted by me appear as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the ownership or sale.
The site had the following planning permission (19 April 2007) “Z/2005/2375/F Erection of four storey building including ground floor retail unit and 8 No. apartments above. 374-378 Newtownards Road/1-7 Welland Street, Belfast”.
