Through the looking glass .......
St Wendreda's Church in March is a wonderful and magnificent place. It houses the largest church bible in England (the second largest being in the Bodleian Library in Oxford), and the ceiling is just so sumptuous as to challenge belief, see also TL4195 : March: St Wendreda's church, the angel roof.
A mirror on a table-on-wheels is provided so that visitors can admire the awe-inspiring adornment of the carvings above without developing a crick in the neck, with the simple request to return said mirror to the space under the Belltower after use.
The church is oft-times locked, but the key is available from The Stars public house nearby TL4195 : The Stars P.H., where they serve a very good pint and even provide water and unexpected treats for well-behaved dogs (who might be in a bit of a sulk after being left outside for AGES whilst their owners explored the church).
